You know ladies, for me, 2011 has been all about bright, bold, and beautiful. After the Spring/Fall 2010/2011 collections hit us all over the head with seriousness and after a few years of economic turmoil both hear in the US and abroad, this has been the year rejuvenation, rebirth, and good, old fashion fun. That`s why yellow is my color this year, girls. I love the sunny, carefree looks that you get by rocking chiffon, lemon, chartreuse, or saffron. Here are some of my top choices (and I need you guys to help me make final decisions!) in yellow bags for all kinds of summer situations.

Out and About, Everyday Use

Ok, let`s start with the bag that I`ll be rocking the most – the everyday bag. This needs to be versatile, stylish, and functional. It also needs to make me feel great! For this bag I`m flipping between a sexy Proenza Crossbody Croc and a Classic Mulberry Alexa. There`s a fundamental question in this choice: do I play it safe but simple with the Alexa, or do I go daring with the Proenza? I can`t decide!!!!

A “Sunday Promenade” Bag

It`s not enough to have just one everyday bag, is it? I think you need a second daily use bag to mix things up a big. I like to call this one the “Sunday Promenade” bag, because it tends to be the bag I grab when I feel like taking a carefree stroll through the park or doing a little Sunday shopping. For this one, I`m feeling the Balenciaga vibe, but I still have to make a choice (eek!). Do I go with a cute little Arena perforated bag (I love the rich yellow here) or do I kick it up a notch in size and visibility with the Giant City bag? Both with have the classic Euro vibe that Balenciaga nails every single time, but which one do I want to wear this weekend?

For Enchanted Summer Evenings

Summer nights are so magical, aren`t they? There`s always at least one night where I feel like I`m falling in love all over again. When that night comes, I want to be looking radiant, and there`s no better way to do that than with a darling clutch like the one from Katie Spade below. But, then again, maybe that classic Vernis leather in yellow will catch the glimmer of the moon? And, I am loving the Vernis Alma hard these days. Or, maybe I should keep things classic with a Kelly Clutch in yellow? Where are you guys at on this? I need to make a decision!

Hitting the Beach, Then to the Tennis Courts

Alright ladies, it`s time I finally make a decision in this piece and I`m not going to make just one. Here are two classic bags that I know I need. Number one – this Elie Tahari Emmy Tote. This is my beach bag this year. It`s casually enough for the beach and charming enough to draw attention to me on the beach!

Then, after catching some rays and relaxing on the beach, I`ll probably want to hit the tennis courts for some friendly competition, and we all know that the competition for style begins before the first serve.
